Christmas!!

This year for christmas we went to bear lake to stay in my parents' cabin. we had a blast! we drove up on sunday afternoon and set up the tree (a little four footer) and stockings, and make all the goodies. what's christmas without goodies?? Bowen rode up with mom and dad since we had to take the truck for the snowmobiles and i was a little nervous (i've seen the way my dad drives through that canyon) but we all made it safely, no help to the roads. On monday, christmas eve, my two brothers and their girlfriends came up. we had a wonderful seafood dinner (thanks mom) and played our favorite tradition...a money game! this year it was "deal or no deal!" 100% luck, no skill whatsoever other than just takin the first offer before you get to greedy! i, however, got too greedy both times and could have walked away with more, but am still very pleased with my winnings. Just wish i could have got more than james, i guess that's the competitive side of me! who knows, maybe he'll spend his winnings on me-say a nice vacation, breafast at tiffany's, better yet diamonds from tiffany's...anything will do! (yes dear, please read this one!)

Christmas morning was wonderful too! james was extatic when he realized santa had brought him a new set of golf clubs and bag! it was adorable to see him so gitty!! and santa brought me an ipod! good job santa!! then there was bowen, boy did he get spoiled. he got books, and movies (baby einstein of course), rice cereal (yummy!), teethers, clothes and more clothes and more clothes and toys and toys and more toys-he'll appreciate it soon, i'm sure! It was so fun having him there for christmas! even though he didn't understand, it truly is a holiday for the children and having them there makes it oh so much more fun!
we spent the rest of the day on the snowmobiles! fresh powder, probably six feet deep, and a beautiful sunny day! james and i were on one together and i asked if i could drive. he was very nice to let me and seconds later i was in full control. we were in the mountains on our way to the sinks, riding on trails that had yet to be traveled on. this being my first time, i was unaware of the amount of leaning involved in a turn. so upon my first turn in the driver's seat i took it slowly. the sled however, did not. we took a nose dive into the snow. WOW! it's okay james was patient and strong, i might add, and was able to pull us out safely. we both agreed on the idea of james driving the rest of the way. don't worry i got another turn and did quite well later that day!

here are our oh so many pictures! enjoy!
mom as "Howie", dad as "The Banker" and me and my lucky case "7" (turned out not to be so lucky)james and his lucky case! (did turn out to be pretty dang lucky!)

You look like you guys had so much fun!I cant believe that Bowen will sit that still for Baby Einstein! I am so jealous! Easton has to be jumpin' in his jumperoo...I swear he is moving non-stop. I wish we were coming up for New years but we are stickin' it out in Utah county.

WOW, what a great blog. Even though I talk to you almost daily and get to hold and kiss Bowen (alias Mr. Onry Pants), I love seeing your life in pictures. As I read your comments I find myself smiling, LOL, and yes even a tear or two. Life is amazing and now that you are a Mom you have a good idea of how much I love you and your beautiful family. Each day is a miricle, continue to embrace every precious moment with your little angel!!
