First....American Idol! i have to admit i am so glad that Danny/Gay kid with wierd hair is gone. it made the show so much better, of course now i have other contestants that i would feel fine about getting kicked off...we won't go there! As for my favorites...

But more than anything, tonight i was SOOO BUGGED by Paula! anyone
else sure she was either on drugs or drunk....yep, i'm sure of it! sometimes i wonder why she even tries to talk she ought to just push button number one for "you look so beautiful, you are a star, persue your dreams!" button number two for "you are all the colors of the rainbow, i'd like to twist off you head and hang it from my rear view mirror" and button number three for "i agree with Randy" maybe she'd need one more i guess..."i love your shoes and hair" - translation= i hated it! Really the only judge that says anything worth listening to is Simon. Randy's comments rarely leave out the phrases, "What's happenin' Dog" or " little pitchy for me" but at least they make the crappy performers feel as if they have had one good comment from a judge before Simon gets to talk and speak the truth! (i agree, sometimes he can be rude or harsh, but i'm just talking majority)

Second, i turned on The View today. i really can't tell you why, i suppose because Bowen was having his nap and i wanted any excuse not to clean. anywho....they where doing their usual "Hot Topics" and started on the big sex story of Gov. Spitzer. Whoopi had some comments that where very disturbing. she went off on how America should just make prostitution legal then we wouldn't have a problem. WHAT?????? she continued saying that amerrica could then insure the safety and stop the spread of STD's. needless to say, i turned it off and remembered why i don't watch that show. i thought about it a lot today though, and realized that satan is getting pretty smart. he is really trying to make evil appear good, and vis versa. why do we so often feed into that. i've really been praying lately for decernment between Heavenly Father and Satan. and i've really started paying more attention. it's just a testimony that Satan is REAL and can be smart sometimes slowly feeding us with lies and wickedness. i am truly grateful for the gospel in my life. Grateful that i know right from wrong and can make the choices accordingly. and when mistakes happen, as they often do...i know what to do!

and Last, i'm SO extatic about the Stimulus Act of 2008! anyone else excited! i recieved in the mail today the letter that the IRS sent to...well...Every tax payer i suppose. (which is another story, considering they spent over 40 million dollars on it!) but i'm pretty sure that we'll get about 1,500 in May and maybe we can make a dent in our debt. (or get GRASS!!!) but no matter what we do with it...who wouldn't be excited!!

Pete and I were laughing last night about American Idol. We decided that they put Simon last for a reason (or at least after Paula) and thats because Paula just agrees with Randy, and if Simon went first Randy would probably be more harsh and jsut agree wtih Simon. But Yes,.. I have to agree with pretty much everything you said in this whole blog!! Carly REALLY surprised me and I still have a special place in my heart for David, and GO BROOKE!!! Love the review Marci!!
I also agree with everything you said about American Idol! I kinda think Paula is pretty much pointless. You are right that she always says the SAME things, and never has anything helpful, good advice or criticism to say, EVER! It makes me crazy. Oh and don't forget the famous, "Way to go, you totally made that your own!"
I think along with the funny buttons you came up with for Paula, Randy has a little checklist he keeps at the table that reads:
1. "Listen man, it was kinda pitchy for me (picture that being said in a really high squeaky voice), yea, I don't know."
2. "Dude, you rocked it, 100 million percent yes!"
3. "What's up dog, it was 'aight for me."
We don't really keep up with American Idol but I am excited about the tax rebate. I hope you get enough to buy grass. Bowen needs to play in his backyard this summer.
I LOVE American Idol too! We need to have an AI party sometime watching it! I missed it this week cause I was working, but I was so sad when I heard that David didn't do very well! So... we still want to get together with you guys... if you still want to!
yeah for american idol..jon and i watched it for the first time on tuesday. Now i know why it is addicting. I am also excited about getting money..however, JOn is convinced that we will just have to pay more taxes next year to make up for it. But i don't think about that part. :)
You crack me up! I love how blunt and accurate you are on life. In Paula's defense-on Wednesday night when they kicked male stripper boy off...when Ryan asked Paula where her head was at..she "quickly" replied, on my shoulders. I think for 1/2 a second the world stopped in amazement!BTW love the pics of Bowen struttin' his summer stuff.
I miss cable! I am so out of the television-loop!
