let's hear it for the boy!

my dear sweetheart is full of excellent qualities to which i find astonishing. i guess you could say he's a 'jack of all trades', and seriously he is! since meeting, marrying and sharing this small part of my life with him, i've seen him strut his stuff on the dance floor with country swing moves even Brad Paisley doesn't have. i've witnessed his selling skills in action as he moves people from house to house in search of their 'happy valley' as a realtor. i've been there when he has made and kept life-long friends using his amazing skills of trust, loyalty, humor, and flat out fun. i've seen him serve in callings displaying faith and love for his Savior, Jesus Christ. i've witnessed his willingness for handy house work, hanging hammocks, hanging christmas lights, laying tile, cleaning gutters, fixing anything and everything that is the slightest bit broken, and doing these for anyone in need. he's a master cleaner, (thanks so much babe!) awesome korean cook, (i LOVE that) and a go-getter student. but there is one quality he has claimed to have to which i have never seen and therefore, never believed. today, i'm a believer. like he has said before...he "can build things!"

a couple days ago he suprised me with an amazing island for our kitchen the he built with his own two hands from start to finish. what a stud, right? i was extatic! i now have more cupboard space that i have been in desperate need of. thank you so much james. i believe you now!!
now, i think there is only one quality i'm waiting to emerge.....

i know there is a shop-a-holic in there somewhere (wink, wink)
and side note....bowen is seven months old today!! Happy day Bo!

James is amazing...there's no doubt about it! You got yourself a good one....and he got himself a good one too! I bet ya he shops at night by himself once you have all gone to bed. Perhaps it's a secret passion of his that he is trying to hide.....right?

Wow I am impressed. That is really nice. I think Jake and I will have to be the couple that hires everything out...because that is not one of our talents:)

The drawer in the island James built? Jake and James were trying to figure out how to make it slide out.

me and him said...

oh....see i didn't know that taylie. but it doesn't have any drawers so i was confused. were you talking about a slide out shelf?? well, it doesn't have that either :( but james talked about that. sorry!
