well, we got 'er done! james worked SO dang hard to get it all done this summer. leveling, trenching, hooking up sprinklers, leveling, trenching agian, fixing sprinklers, leveling again, pulling weeds, pulling more weeds, pulling even more weeds (i guess the weed part was mine!) leveling again, extending the patio (which looks SO great babe!) leveling some more, watering the dirt, suffering for three days from heat exhaustion, finding people to help lay sod (thanks to all you!) and laying the grass. all of this meant many many EARLY mornings and even more LATE nights. what a stud! i LOVE it. and although we can't really play on it yet, bowen and i admire it from the new patio all day and can't wait to run and play in the sprinklers (without the grass sinking!) we love it james you're the BEST!!

the porch used to just be the square in the middle....now, we actually have room for a big BBQ. wanna come? : )
i even got the flower bed planted! it looks so good and will look even better when all those grow bigger in the next few years!

SINCE WHEN DID MY BABY GROW UP??????

bowen is now ten months old. he is getting so big. he loves laughing and smiling and we love making him laugh and smile! but today was a BIG day for the little guy. he decided after weeks of scooting it was time to start walking!!! this morning while him and havyn were playing she would walk away and bowen would slowly let go of the couch or coffee table and try to follow her. his confidence was so strong that he would be able to walk just as good as his 2 1/2 year old cousin. after multiple multiple face plants he decided crawling was best after all. but then, tonight he wanted to give it a go again!! so i was letting him walk toward me and he took SIX STEPS all by himself before collapsing into my arms with a huge smile! i quickly called james, who was out buying me some old grist mill soup since i'm sicker than a dog (but that's another story!), to tell him he had to hurry home and we'd try to record his achievement. well, as i'm sure you know, as soon as the camera came out bowen got too excited about it and his little feet started going faster than he could keep up with. it was still pretty cute though.
