three years gone....

james and i celebrated our anniversary this week! we had planned to go to Lava Hot Springs but last minute decided not to go due to gas prices, babysitting, and long drive. so i just figured that when the day rolled around it be like any other day. and i was honestly fine with it! i had plenty of things to do (the house was a mess, laundry needed done....you know the usuall!) and i figured there's always going to be a couple anniversary's where you don't do much! besides: Anniversary #1 was a week in Vegas, Anniversary #2 was a week and a half in Mexico. so needless to say i had no bad feelings of Anniversary #3 being a cleaning day and maybe some take out for dinner! however....that was not the case!

i woke up and found beautiful whire roses on the table...AHHHH!

then after my test (yep had a test that day! :[ ) james organized a babysitter and said he wanted to "hang out!" this came as a complete shock! james and i haven't been on a date in over 7 months, let a lone hung out together.....(life has been gettin' the best of us!) so i was super excited. we went to Old Grist Mill for lunch....YUM! and then we went out to the celebration center for some fun. both of us didn't really know what to do with oursleves without Bowen around. i mean i didn't even have to take a diaper bag, and it's been a LONG time since i haven't lugged around a diaper bag! we went minature golfing to which i got a hole in one! Go me! and rode the go karts. to which i wasted james! Go me again! we then picked up a shaved ice (something we used to do while dating!) and went to first dam to enjoy the beautiful day! we had a lot of fun just relaxing. james taught me a lesson on rock skipping. it was pretty cute!

then came the BIG surprise. my parents surprised us with a stay at the anniversary inn. we got there and soon realized who nice that gift really was. they had gone above and beyond to make that day special for us. literally we were shocked. we staying in the hawaiian paradise! as you know james and i met and fell in love in hawaii so it was pretty cute, and brought back a lot of fun memories! after checking out the room, james told me to get dressed up, cause we were going out! by this time i was beyond amazed. i realized right then that i hadn't heard that sentence in a LONG TIME! he took us to Hamilton's. my favorite! and the place we had our reception. it has since been a tradition to go every anniversary (or close too!) but i had forgot. the food was delicious! we both had salmon and some yummy coconut shrimp. So Good!

that night we kept saying.... "is that bowen?" and then realized he wasn't there. i LOVE bowen more than anything in this world but that may have been the best part.....sleeping in!! we had their yummy breakfast in bed and watched another movie! (wow, i can't even remember the last time i was able to watch a movie in the morning!) we got ready and went to center street grill for lunch....another place we've never been. it was such a fun two days! we were super excited to get our little buddy back and take him to the pool for pioneer day, and unfortunately he was sick when he came home. so we had a great day cuddling with our little buddy!

happy anniversary james! you did great for last minute planning!! I LOVE YOU!
