ode to the cache county fair

james and i decided to forgo raspberry days this year so we could spend the weekend working on our own lawn. (and according to friends...we didn't miss much!) but we did take bowen to the good ole' cache county fair and rodeo. he was mostly excited to just get out of the house! (as was i) if you happened to miss the fair, don't worry it was EXACTLY the same booths, same people, and same food that it has been the last 15 years!

first, i had to get a picture of bowen's new jeans! this is as "wrangler" as we get!

this was just moments before he fell off, face first in front of a huge crowd that then had the nerve to glare at james and i! boo hoo to all you hicks, he's FINE! and gutter, i wanted a picture!!

now, that i'm done venting....

we then headed over to the animals to which i failed to get any pictures : ( i was too busy making sure nobody stepped in any kind of poop (including the wheels of the stroller). this was a far big enough task that taking the camera out was just asking too much! needless to say, nothing was very picture worthy anyways. bowen was more interested in the fences then the animals behind them, and i wasn't about to walk in the manure infested cage with him!

so we walked around gathering free candy, free water, and free balloons...all to keep bowen entertained for the rodeo that was about to come!

check out the wheels on this thing. is that really necessary, or are these farmers trying to compensate for something????

and lastly we filled the night with even more fun watching the rodeo (ya i bet you can't believe it!). i know this picture is terrible so i'll explain. a very nice lady sitting in front of us overheard james say "marci get a picture of me and bo!" so she kindly offered to take a family photo. now, these people (the kind that always offer to get the group photo) are very nice, but for some reason i always feel wierd asking them for a redo if the first one doesn't turn out. it's just awkward people! so there's my cleve, bowen's onry face, and james with his hand on his hip like he's constipated. oh well, thanks nice lady sittin' in front of us and sorry your daughter puked and you had to leave, don't worry the smell didn't!

You crack me up! You have a great writing wit... is there such a thing?

I noticed your "What I'm Reading Now" comment, and I have some suggestions! I just finished "The Wednesday Letters" which was fabulous! It was an easy read, but very good! Next in line is "The Last Lecture," which I watched a documentary on and can't wait to read!
