today i went to the grocery store. seems normal, right? well not so much! here's the scoop. i usually spend an average of $400.00 a month on grocerys (should i be disclosing that??). making it an average of $100.00 a week. i know what your thinking....rediculous! however, this includes all household items, hygiene items, produce, meat and all other food. so you can imagine my fear and anxiety when i made it to the check out today and the total came to......$335.72. i about peeded my pants in shock, until i realized....WAIT, i hadn't given her my coupons yet!! so what was the real total after coupons.....wait for it...............$166.56!!! so i'm sure you can do the math, but in case you can't...i got the same amount of grocerys (actually a lot more) in money that i usually get in a month for only a little over a third the cost! YES! this is definately blog-worthy! just some of my favorite items......
1. pillsbury reaady to bake cookies:
only $1.00 (bought seven!)
2. Betty Crocker Potatoes:
only $0.50 (bought ten!)
3. Electrosol tabs: only $0.09 (bought five!)
4. Nabisco crackers: FREE
i saved a butt load on toilet paper too! (no pun intended) and laundry detergent....let's just say i'm set for the next 320 loads!! sorry to brag but saving money is freakin' fun!

Go you Marci! I am so glad you guys spend a lot on food too- I thought we were the only ones! Are you doing using Denise's system? It looks like you are all set for the next 3 months!

Way to go Marci! So smart to stock up on things when they are at great prices. Blake always laughs at me when I get excited over my checkout stand total. But I agree saving money is "freakin' fun"!

Saving money is awesome! Thanks for the offer to help us, but I think that we're good cause we've just been doing little loads everyday so we don't have a whole lot left! I know, right? Love it. Hate Albertson's because they are always sold out of everything, but love the sales. I went and got my free Ritz crackers just last night (and a few other things, of course).
Marci you have to tell me what coupons you are using! That is amazing! You really need to let me know where to find those coupons!
