Nativity

Tyrel and I took the kids to a live Nativity on Thursday night. Havyn loves learning about Baby Jesus and Mary, and we had so much fun showing her what it must have been like when Jesus was born.

Bowen loved the animals. they had sheep, goats, donkeys and a camel! don't worry we told the kids..."careful, they spit!" and they kept there distance!

bowen doesn't ever stay still very long, but he did pause for a moment while the story was being read and watched baby Jesus!

*i have no idea what was on the camera lens...so sorry!

then we got some yummy hot cocoa and got on the carriage ride! it was so awesome. we were out in the country, the moon was so bright, and as we were riding around the farm everyone on the wagon started singing silent night. i could imagine that night when the Savior was born. there was a stillness in the air and the spirit tesitfied so peacfully of its truthfullness.

we tried so hard to get a photo of us all, for memories sake.... and this is the best we got! (pretty sad) but hey, it's a very good reminder that life isn't always Perfect!

really funny though, neither of the kids are paying any attention (bowen was still staring at the camel) and tyrel's eyes are completly closed, however she is sporting a great smile so we'll give her credit for that. and me, well, i just look like a man!
