a moment to brag!

i just need a moment to brag about my brother! growing up with jack has been an adventure! one i consider myself blessed to have been on. with the absense of sisters, jack became the sibling i laughed with, cryed with, recieved dating advice from, and tagged along with! when he left on his mission, i was only 14 and the adjustment was difficult. but upon his return, things quickly returned to normal. he scoped out every boy i ever went on a date with, and even those i didn't, to assure me that no one was good enough. he always had something to say, a man of many words would best describe him!! then he met james. after the first meeting i quickly looked in jacks direction waiting for him to say he noticed something that my oober butterflies had missed. but no. for the first time in my dating career, the man was speechless. that's when i knew i had the go ahead!

jack's talents are many! he graduated in journalism from USU and continues to critique every blog entry i write. he has written and published a childrens book full of magic, assuring children to not fear their imagination, but rather...follow it! to say jack has many friends is an understatment. he captures people in a way i can't describe, nor would i attempt to. everyone he meets leaves either pondering, laughing or crying (the good cry!)! i've never met a better father than my brother. his number one priority is his sweet wife and daughter. he would truly do anything and everything to ensure their happiness!

if you're wondering why i'm writing his obituary. i'm not! (he wouldn't allow something so poorly written, anyway!) i'm just a proud little sister who wants to brag about her big bro! yesterday jack was accepted to the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program! but that's not all.....out of HUNDREDS of applicants he was ranked in the top ten! the school ranking fourth in the nation!! and no one deserves it more!

here's to you kid. and more importantly, here's to following your dreams because that's what you inspire us to do! love ya jack, and i will til you tell me not to!

Yeah, I have never seen a bunny outside of a pet store but St. George is swarming with them at dusk. They are so cute with their fluffy tails!

Great post, Marci. I cried like a baby. Not only because I am so proud of Jack but because nothing brings me more joy than to know that my children love each other. Together we can face sorrow, challenges, and yes accomplishments and joy! I love my family and am in awe at the amazing adults my sweet children have become.
Love you!! Mom
