i woke up this morning happy. i got ready for the day, did my usual morning routine, ate some breakfast, and waited patiently for my bundle of joy to arrise! when i heard his sweet voice filling the hall, i rushed to greet him! he was happy as usual! i changed his diaper, tickled his bare belly, dressed him for the day, and took him straight to my bathroom with sewing sissors in hand. i had not thought through what i was about to do, not even for a second. i sat him on the counter and one by one locks of curls descended. i could no longer control myself, i just kept snipping away at his beautiful strawberry blonde hair. when all was said and done, and i was back in my body, i realized what i had done! his shag was no longer. i let out a tear, and tried to tug it back to it's original length. but to no avail. the baby now looked like a boy:( so what does a girl do when life comes tumbling down? call her mother, of course. mom says not to worry, it will grow back. and if worse comes to worse, he will just wear hats for the next three months even if it means duck taping them on!
bowen seemed fine. in fact, i think he felt older too! he pranced around the house with a grin that belonged in a children's magazine! i fed him his favorite breakfast; french toast, banana, cherrios and milk and i think he forgave me. of course, i'm keeping him away from a mirror for a while. and i think i'll hide my sewing sissors from myself too!

I do think that you are great, and I think you are very brave as I will no longer cut Chet's hair ever!!! A different more experienced hair cutter once resided in my body, but I finally stopped thinking I could cut hair and gave up-she has disappeared.
He still looks cute!
Marci, he looks so cute. I love it. I think you may have found your calling. :)
Marci, LOVE IT! I think he is adorable.. heck how could he not be look at his mom:) But for real I like it a little shorter. And your right it does make him look a little older! So so cute!
It is adorable! I too think it makes him look older. Forgive yourself! All kids get great cuts from their mom at some point in their life.
His hair looks cute. He does look more grown up, I loved his curls but it is a cute style for him.
Love it Marci! He is so so cute! I like it short too! Definitly not a mistake its a positive change :)
I love. No need to shed tears Marci. He looks cute, tough, and so old!!
Come on Marci... it look darling!!!! Really... And you know, we all do things with out thinking.. and when its all said and done, we think what the fu were was i thinking?? but really i don't know what you are stressed about, he look DARLING.. your mom is right, boys hair grows so fast, it will be back in no time!!
Don't worry; I thought the same thing when I took scissors to Jack's hair! But really, though, he looks very handsome :) Did you save his hair? I'm still kicking myself over that spur of the moment decision of mine to throw Jack's away and I wish I hadn't!!
He looks adorable!! He does looks a little older, but still so dang cute!!
You really are great Marci!!! I LOVE it! I really really do! He looks like a little man! Well I know who to call when Krew needs his first hair cut!
I like the haircut! It looks great! I wish that I could have taken some of his locks and put them on Marissa. I always think that it's so unfair for the boy babies to get all the hair! Oh well. Soon enough, I'm sure.
Ditto on everything everyone else has written! You are fabulous and he looks adorable as ever!!
Wow, an out of body experience with hair style. Kind of wish I had that gift. ;)
It actually looks very cute! If I had a boy, I couldn't wait to style his hair all awesome like that! :D
Isn't it amazing how much older they look when they get a hair cut? He looks so dang cute. I sure missed you guys this past weekend. I hope to see you soon.
Oh, but you're so great!
There I said it and now the truth...It really does look cute! Nice job Marci. I think you may not like it because you have turned your baby into a toddler. I hated it when I did it to Mason too. But they are still cute as toddlers too.
