are they serious?

today while bowen and i were out on the town, i saw this sign in the parking lot.
no, i didn't park there. even though technically i'm eligable. since when was being a mother in the same category as being handicap?

The Newgate Mall has these stalls painted pepto-pink for expectant mothers. Sometimes we bring my SIL with us just so we can get good parking. (ok, so maybe that's not the only reason we bring her)

I live in Ogden and love going to the Newgate Mall just for that reason. What can I say, I'm huge, pregnant, and lazy!

Marci, when Nate & I went to England they had those at most of grocery stores we went to... I thought it was a brilliant idea! I don't think it is meant to say that mothers are handicap, I think it's meant to say, "Hey, you're a mom! We respect your hard work - here's a little break for ya!" So, take advantage :)

Oh gosh I love that! What a good idea...you never know when you have to make a quick exit from the store for a 'time-out' or a poopy bum cause you forgot the diapers (yea that's me) and be parked front and center! I say let's get more of those signs!

I think it's an excellent idea especially when your toddler loves to RUN everywhere...it makes it that much closer to your destination.....!

I love it! What we mothers really need is valet parking. That way we could just drive up and they have a warm cart waiting for your child's toosh to sit in. Then they go park the car.

That is awesome! I would love to park there. Lately if I go anywhere I have Ian all bundled and then I make Tim drop me off at the door because I am worried that Ian still might be too cold outside -I know pathetic but I would totally park there just to make it into the warm with my little one that much sooner.

Heck yes, I think its brilliant! After trying to lug around a toddler and a newborn the last few weeks, I am pretty convinced that this is the best idea ever. And No, I'm not above feeling handicapped (not if it gets me close parking, anyway.)

Are you kidding me? My hips and feet hurt so incredibly bad towards the end of my pregnancy, I hated parking far away and walking. They put that there as a courteous to mothers.

Thank goodness I had a chiropractor weekly, or I would have been in a wheelchair. :(

And it sucks, nowhere in Idaho do they have those signs at establishments... I was upset. :(
