well, it's pretty obvious that someday i want a girl! i always wanted a boy first and was so excited my wish came true. and now, i have only a few years left to send out "girl" messages to the Universe! {ever read 'the secret'?} but since i refuse to cut bowen's hair, who needs a girl? this little number turned out pretty dang cute if i don't say so myself!
i love the 'beer belly' shot in this one. with one pant leg up and that hair do...he's quite the little thug!
that's right folks. my little baby had his first visit to the ER. {also known as ED} it was so scary! the other night we were having a great time with neighbors at a local church and it wasn't long before i heard the thud....then the screaming. bowen fell off james' shoulders while they were playing a fun game of B-ball! he started acting a little strange. he couldn't be comforted, and refused any distracting techniques i have up my sleeve. (even treats, which for bowen...is unheard of) everyone agreed that he needed medical attention. his blood-curdling scream lasted over an hour, stopping only momentarily to fall asleep. to which i would wake him and the screaming would start all over. the bump on the back of his head was the size of a small tumor. luckily, after 4 hours and 3 CT scans, they let us take our baby home and he is showing no signs of any head trama. what a blessing.
the last few weeks have been filled with unexpected medical expenses. you may know that a couple weeks ago i suffered a back injury with two displaced ribs that i healed from remarkablely {as said by the Doc's}! each of these experiances left me with an overwhelming feeling of how blessed we are, bringing me to tears everytime. perhaps we have someone lookin' over us!
as for today, it's sunny and birds are singing! we're going OUTSIDE!!!!

Wow. you guys have been busy. I'm so sorry to hear about you and Bowen. I'm glad your both ok. We need to get together sometime.
That is SCARY about poor Bowen's head...and your poor back! OUCH. I'm so glad that everything is okay with everyone!!
WHAT??? You never mentioned your bad back while leaning over all the nursery kids??? I am so sorry I had no idea. You little trooper you! So glad Bowen is o.k.. SO scary. We have had our share of head injuries.. never fun. What is halarious is that WE, all 6 of us, trucked into Maceys toinght for the same ice cream deal.. they were OUT again.. and we ended up spending $13.00 in the ice cream aisle!! I think they're on to something..

Oh Marci! I am so sorry to hear about all that! I'm so glad you are both doing better! What a scary experience. I hope you guys are all feeling much better now!
OH man, I can't even begin to think of how you felt driving Bowen to the hospital. (don't relive that) I am glad everything is alright. I agree we need to get together next time im in Logan and go to lunch or something.
Oh bummer Marci. Sorry to hear about all the medical prob's. But it sure makes you grateful for modern medicine and health insurance,eh? Bo is getting to be quite the handsome little devil! So cute. Glad you are all doing better.
