im not gonna lie. i was screaming and dancing around the couch for a good 5 minutes when Kris won last night. i let bowen stay up with me an extra hour and even eat some popcorn so we could witness the results together. we were both so happy when kris won! (bowen ran around the couch with me...mostly cause he thought we were playing a wicked game of tag but who cares...he was celebrating!) i love Kris' voice, his style, his humility, his senserity, and his inoccence. love it! i realize his compitition was tough and lets face it, everyone who's anyone thought that adam had it in the bag. (so did i) but adam just rubbed me the wrong way. i've been watching american idol since i was 16 and always loved the contestants who were a little "out there" (like adam) but to be honest ever since becoming a mom i've changed my ways. if i have any control over choosing the next big stars that bowen will someday listen to i feel it my duty to pick the clean-cut, soft-spoken good kids! {even though most these "kids" are older than me! hehe) so i was so happy that the crazy, make-up wearing, fingernail painting, platform boot wearing, man-to-man kissing, high-pitch screaching, leather pant struttin' man didn't pull it off!!here's to you kris...don't disappoint.

I am totally with you on that. I was sure that Adam was going to win, but I'm so glad he didn't! Yay Kris!
I was actually betting Kris would win! He did so good! He was the most improved which counts for something. I am way excited cause I am sure Ill love his CD Adam not so much! However he will probably be way famous in his music carrer.
I think it was the trench coat that got me with Adam... that and the black fingernails. I was afraid he might suddenly pull out an oozie or something. Three cheers for the good, clean-cut kids, right?

My thoughts EXACTLY! I love a good upset by the under dog! (I also love that his mouth goes crooked when he hits his big notes..)
Never mind that he also sang with one of my country boys Keith Urban.. so I was sold.
P.S. That new pic of Bowen at the top is ridiculously adorable. Can you say "Baby Gap model?"
We were SOOOO shocked!!! We so thought Adam was going to win, and we sort of thought he deserved it, but he'll get his stardom, without the ties of American Idol.
We loved Chris and Danny the most throughout the show. ;)
