our summer break is officially over! we were back to school today :( but we had a lot of fun. we kicked it off with a fun day at discovery gateway! i love that place. so does bowen. and the best part was that havyn and krew came too!!
next was mothers day. and despite the fact that i had to speak in sacrament it was a wonderful day. james and bo took me to dinner on saturday and james MADE dinner on sunday (and it wasn't take out!) bowen sent mother's day wishes every ten minutes..{"happy day mommy!"} and i got a whole hour of chatting with my own mom! i loved it.

i love being bowen's mommy! we have so much fun together. i love watching him learn and grow and turn into the sweet boy that he is! i'm a lucky lucky mom!
the next day bowen and i headed to our lovely summer vacation! california! we had so much fun visiting with friends, playing in the sun, and just relaxing.
he did so good on the plane. thanks to cartoon network! this time he got his own chair. what a big boy! and that means that i can catch up on my magazines and watch some bravo tv too!
bowen loved playing with ty. they were so cute together and kept each other very entertained with only minor battle wounds!
bowen would settle down whenever hallie was awake and begged to hold her. the boys loved showering her with kisses! one thing is for sure, she's got a couple of tough boys to watch out for her when she gets older! watch out future boyfriends! {on second thought....bowen should be your future boyfriend!!}
we had so much fun at the pool and bowen loved driving the gator, though i'm pretty sure he ran into everything in the yard at least a few times!
we were both so sad when it was time to come home and we knew our summer fun was coming to a close.
{bo stood at the window for a good ten minutes waving goodbye to ty! then he started saying "here come dadda!"}
and you can thank me for the warm weather lately. i understand it's been raining until saturday. yep, i made sure to bring some sunshine with me. next time i'll bring palm trees, i promise!

I wish you could have topped it off by joining us in Bear Lake, of course you know what that would have meant, and I am sure you wouldn't have wanted us to share what we had. :(
I love the pic of you and Bo in his pink shirt and the one of him pulling a face. Actually I love all of them. And of course thanks for putting pics of Havyn and Krew up too. We had a blast. Havyn thought you were coming to the aquariam today. I hate breaking her heart and telling her she won't get to see Bowen today. We will have to get together more often.

I love these pictures. I just sit with a silly grin on my face as I slowly read and reread your blog. I am in wonder at how blessed I am to have such an amazing family and such beautiful grandchildren. Keep on posting...it eases the homesickness just a bit! So glad you were able to have a short vacation to visit your dear friend. I love and miss you so much!Give that beautiful little boy of ours a big hug and kiss from his African Papa and Gramma!!
So cute Marc!! I saw my aunt Charlene last week and she said she LOVED your talk you gave in sacrament. She said it was her favorite talk she has heard in a long time! :)
