today i woke up a little nauseous. i got up anyway and went to class. during class i felt myself turning pale and laid my head on my desk for a good twenty minutes before rushing to the bathroom. when i got back from splashing water on my face i felt all better and the rest of class was interesting and fun. since i felt ok, i stopped at walmart too, picked up some father's day cards and some gift cards for weddings. i got home just in time for the queasy feeling to come back and after eating a small lunch i crashed on the couch. the next three hours were filled with heat waves and shivers and a dream here and there. when i finally pulled myself off the couch i felt better. i walked into the kitchen to figure out what to make for dinner. it was already 6:30 and nothing sounded easy enough to make, so i was hoping that i would open the fridge and a miraculous meal would appear. something that everyone in the house would love and praise me for. but on my way into the kitchen i glanced at the calendar. that's when i realized it's june. which meant two things; i had missed an immunization appointment this morning,{oops!} and a chiropractor appointment this afternoon.{i at least called on that one.} and while i started feeling crappy and lazy for being such a flake, june also reminded me of
this and
this.
and boy am i grateful for a little nausea! and that i can go to the store if i want. or school, even when i feel queasy. i can't believe it's been a year already since i laid in that hospital bed for days, preparing for the worst, rather...expecting it.
{oh and if you're wondering what happened with dinner. bowen had cereal (don't judge i know you've done it) and i had ben and jerry's! yep...a meal was waiting for me...it was just in the freezer!}
{...james' dinner is yet to come....i'm thinking a frozen pizza will do the trick for him!}

I can't believe it's been a year already I'm so glad you are better and this year is better!
Yes could be worse but I still hate to read that you are not feeling well! I too, can't believe it's been a whole year since our "little" scare! So glad I was there during that time. Just know, you are not allowed to go through anything like that again;) Hopefully the next year will go by as fast as the last one and I will be home again. Love and miss you!!
Not only has Kaayl had cereal for dinner on more than one occasion, chances are it was sugary, crappy-for-you cereal too. (I really start feeling guilty when she gets cereal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in one day...)
Hope you get feeling better!
ya, kids can live on cereal alone, just so you know. that's how Grant's alive.
p.s. get feelin' better!
I'm sorry you're not feeling well...but I'm glad you aren't as sick as last year.
Yay for no quarantine!!
Feel better. :)
I am so glad your ordeal is a whole year behind you and you are OK! Get well soon.
PS Denise - Husbands can live on cereal alone as well, thats how Rhett is alive. :)
Oh I am so sorry! Allie has also had the stomach flu. Not fun! If you get sick again give me a call and Bowen can come play here while you sleep. I would also be happy to bring you some dinner.
Are you kidding?! When I was little and my dad was in charge of dinner, cereal was one of his staples!! Usually the sugary kind too, yum!
I'm glad you just have a little nausea too instead of the super combo of things you had last year!
P.S. Mason misses Bowen and I miss you!
