On the Road Again

we did a lot of traveling while we were visiting Ghana. we loved seeing the differences of everyday life in ghana. one of the things that struck us the most was definately the road. making it from point A to point B was a miracle in itself. but along our way we saw some fun stuff.

the fedex truck....
a wood bridge. i wish i would have gotten the shot while that car was driving over this bridge. the board were not nailed down so with every movement they would bounce up. i'm pretty sure i held my breath on this one!
everywhere you turn there are christian messages. i thought some were a genius idea!
and no load is too heavy or too big for any truck. this was one of the smaller ones. but it made us laugh nonetheless.
football (soccer) fields are everywhere. most are on dirt with homemade wooden goal posts. we didn't meet anyone that doesn't love football!
several food stands and shops on a raining morning.

this little set up is the casino. we saw a lot of these little booths. they are all painted the same and this is where they place their bets! (usually on football!)
one of the nicer homes along the road side.
though the country seems tattered and torn, we fell in love. ghanian people are so inventive and inspiring. makes you think, what do you really need to live??

I love this post. You certainly got some good shots of the world around us. Even though I see these things everyday, I am still amazed how well the people here not only survive but thrive. We loved sharing this experience with you and James! Love ya!
