bowen had a great time at his birthday party with some of his little friends. i really didn't want to do a party this year. that weekend was just crazy and we had a lot going on. luckily, bowen did all the planning on this one. he wanted a party at the park with pizza and cupcakes. perfect! it was pretty casual and stress free. just how we like it. after the party the neighborhood was having a "movie on the lawn" night so we went to that party too! of course bowen thought it was just another birthday party to celebrate him being 3. we let him believe it!
we've gone to bear lake a lot. usually just for a couple hours to mow the lawn and get things ready for fall. and then we rush home for homework, or work, or class. (we live such an exciting life!) but this time we stopped for a hike at limber pines, one of our favorite trails. bowen had so much fun finding logs to walk on and looking for squirrels and chipmunks!

Oh we had so much fun at Bo's birthday party. It was exciting to see him turn three. I can't believe you have a three year old. How did that happen?
the pip squeak is 3 now. man, how could that be! looks like the party was wild! happy birthday lil' Bo-Man!
I think you just discovered how to do the perfect birthday party! Way to have an outdoor movie with the entire neighborhood to help Bo celebrate! That one might be hard to top!:) I was also glad to see some pictures of you breathing some good ol' mountain air and getting a little "down time" with your sweet family. Lovin' and missin' all of you!
Where is that trail? At least your getting outside, if just for a minute. I can't remember the last time I was outside? really....I need another girls night!
