it's no surprise to anyone that reads this blog that my mom is my best friend. that i love her so much and know that i am in fact the luckiest girl on the earth to have the best mother there is! but instead of getting mushy.....
one day i came home from school to find my mom sweeping the kitchen floor. she must not have heard me sneak in the door with her blaring music and i just stood in awe as she sang her little heart out....
''I was gonna clean my room until I got high
I was gonna get up and find the broom but then I got high
my room is still messed up and I know why (why man?) yea hey,
- cause I got high, cause i got high, cause i got high."
It's hard to recall if that was the exact moment i decided my mom was awesome, or if i already knew it. it wasn't until i started singing with her that she noticed i was in the room! she claims that she was unaware of the lyrics but just caught up in the rhythm of the song...oh mom!
it has been only one of the many times my mom has had me laughing uncontrollably. i can't help but look forward to many more laughs to come! love you mom.

I tried to write you back when I first read this but...I got high ...on life, on mission work, oh and on fumes from the gutters (hehe). THANKS for this post, I feel pretty blessed myself to have you in my life! Soon we will be laughing our little hearts out again! Love and miss you!
