we had some pretty fun and exciting experiances with the great outdoors last week! first, james woke up early to get a head start on the yard (before the SUN was too Hot!) and found a friend in our backyard. we often find animals in the yard due to our awesome creek that runs along the back of our yard. there are the most beautiful wild pheasants, calming malard ducks and even the annoying magpies. but this was a sight for sore eyes!
YES.....A MOOSE!!
this is not even 15 feet from our back door. it was so crazy! and had i taken a photo of the front yard you would have been astonished at the amount of neighbors and police officers parading on our driveway to sneak a look and the little guy! wow, what a morning!
so to carry on with the theme...we decided to go camping (or at least i call it camping!) we drove up to Tony's Grove with my brother and his family to enjoy a nice Steak dinner! little did we know as we pulled up in our shorts that Tony's Grove still had snow!! (we could have used our lastest christmas gifts had we known.....see below post.)

i know i married a camper, but we have yet to go together so me and bo, well we're still new to this whole thing and we were having a hard time staying away from the smoke of the fire...(just ONE of the reasons i don't camp!)

Bowen was in stick heaven! he l o v e d it! and looked pretty dang cute i might add....this is right about when i thought, like father, like son!

we ended the night with a classic family portrait!

Yea, that's how I like to go camping too. And that moose is awesome! Ya know what else is awesome... you are, Marci. You are the awesomest!
You guys are so cute! I love how Bowen is all ticked in the picture :) That IS classic! That always happens with us. Where did you guys build your house? What a gorgeous view! I want a moose!
That is sweet that there was a moose in your yard! That doesn't happen everyday! I am not much of a camper either! I am working on liking it because Nick's does!! Your family is cute as ever and Bowen is a doll!!!
Hello!! I'm here, and alive! Your camping pics are so cute and I can't believe how big Bowen looks! We really should plan a trip camping soon! If you're up to it again! I promise you'll get used to the smoke! Marci- I've been so busy! I have 3 jobs now, if you count the chocolate business, and it's going crazy! I'll have to tell you about it, but anyway, I'm thinkin about ya, and I'm so glad we have blogs to sorta keep in touch!
How fun to see a moose so close to your backyard!
I'd call that camping. I don't like the smoke either, but you guys should go with us. Thanks for inviting us over for games the other night. We'll have to come by to see your new kitchen furniture.
That is so awesome you had a moose in your back yard! That is a sight for sore eyes! I love camping! It's so peaceful to me! Especially camp fires! They are so mesmerizing! We have had to have a lot this summer in the back yard because I am always craving tin foiled dinners! These darn pregnancy cravings! :)
Marci I haven't seen you forever! I'm glad you found my blog. I don't think I've ever met your husband and I definately haven't seen your little boy he is so cute! Congrats on such a beautiful family!
Looks like you guys had fun at Tony's Grove... even with the snow! Bowen is so cute!
Oh Marci, he is so handsome,.. (Im talking about the baby!) Im tellin ya,.. you are going to have to beat the girls off with sticks!
Your family is also adorable. They grow so fast don't they? Ryan's been doing curbing for about 5 years now (owning his own) and worked for someone else before, so he does really good work. He's a perfectionest. I don't know what he charges, but I know if you get colored and stamped curbing it's $4 a foot.
I don't get it...we pay thousands of dollars to fly to alaska to see a moose (amoung other wildlife) and all we really needed to do is go to breakfast at your house!! I loved reading your blog tonight. I am missing you all so much. The picture of Bo with the stick almost made me cry he is so beutiful!! I love you, see you soon. Mom
James my brother......it is pretty sad I have never even met your kid. You and Marci need to move back to the home town so we can hang. Looks like you guys are doing great....and you still have a very nice looking full head of hair. I am jealous.
