first and last

last weekend was our last trip to bear lake with mom and dad before they leave for two whole years. i can hardly believe they are leaving on monday. we decided bear lake was the best way to end the summer and to make it even more fun we rented a boat and i gave my first ever shot at wakeboarding. our friends came along with us and neither of them had wakeboarded before either, so i didn't feel alone! we had so much fun learning the ropes of boarding together, thanks to james for being everyone's teacher.

mom loved that bowen gets so cuddly on the boat. {here he just wanted more m&m's} he took a good nap in her arms for an hour and they both looked like they were in heaven!

i'm proud to say that i got up on the wakeboard my first try! i was shocked really, but i'd do anything to stay out of the water. if the water looks cold, that's because it was freezing!

here's Gracie, our friends daughter. she was so brave and battled the tube a couple times all by herself. we were so proud of her! isn't she adorable?

james and i have so much fun at bear lake every summer we always get a little sad when the weather starts cooling off. and this time more than ever since it means we'll be heading up next year without mom and dad. but, the sooner they go, the sooner they get back, right?! i'm going to miss them more than i can even express.
