the PAR-TAY

We had bowen's second birthday party last night. i decided not to go as far out this year. last year was definately fabulous but i just felt i needed to downsize the planning! but...who am i kidding...there's no such thing as small birthday parties in my book! i love parties and i love planning parties, that i should just embrace about myself! before i knew it we had planned ourselves another BIG event! bowen was so cute on this birthday he was telling anyone and everyone who would listen, "I TWO"! he was so proud of his balloons and cake until about a half hour before the party was starting. i noticed he had a rash on his cheeks so my brother {who's in PA school} told me to give him some benadryl which made him so tired but we still had a good time. including bo, he made off pretty dang good this year!!

despite planning and inviting only one week prior we had an awesome turnout! we have so many great friends and family that support us so much! my whole family was there and it meant so much to me! bowen had cousins and best buds everywhere!!
bo loved the present time, only the look on his face doesn't show it. he would open one present and not want to set it down to open the next, but as soon as he say what the next one was he put the first one down and wouldn't let go of the next. things were just getting better and better for the little man!

we had an awesome cake this year {thanks to whitney} and i made some fun cake pops for the little kids! they were a hit!

here he is trying to blow out the sparkler "2" candle. don't worry we're not mean parents he got to blow out real candles for breakfast on his pancakes. {this morning we wanted to know why he didn't have "fire" with his breakfast...so being the cool mom i am, he got them again!}



we ended the night with cake and ice cream and then a whole lot of playing with his new toys! thanks so much everyone for coming...we have the greatest neighbors, friends and family!
