immediately after arriving in ghana we drove two hours to Abakrampa. Home to some of my parents dearest friends. One member had been saving "fowls" for a couple weeks for our arrival and was so excited to feed us a fufu dinner. {fufu is dough made from casava plant and plantains. they bang them into a wooden bowl with a stick until it's doughy then serve it with soup. this time our soup was chicken.} we had a field corn appetizer to begin with. if you've grown up on a farm, you know that field corn is NOTHING like our sweet corn at the grocery stores. it was hard but manageable.

We're LOVING seeing your pics and hearing about your adventure! My hubby served his mission in Ghana... he's missing fufu :) Have a great trip!!
