Jackson Hole Wyoming

We took a family trip up to Jackson Hole this year. I hadn't been there since childhood, so this was just as exciting for me as it was for the kids!
We went with our good friends Jason and Tami Curtis and their two kids, Gracie and Kaden. We all stayed at Colter Bay in a tent-cabin. it was the PERFECT set up and i would camp every day if it was like that every time! :)

Road Trip Time:

I would say one of the highlights of the trip was our hike to the Hidden Falls. We decided to do the full hike with the kids and bowen ended up being a real champ!!
(emmett was a champ as well, however wouldn't you be if you got a ride for the majority of the trip?)

The falls where amazing, and surprisingly cold and refreshing! I loved it up there!

We stopped at the top to eat our lunch and these little marmots wanted Emmett's lunch. it was hilarious to watch him defend his food!

on the way down emmett decided he could walk for a ways, which our backs were grateful for! he ran mostly...and would only stop when he found treats that other hikers have left behind. Yes, he ate m&m's off the path for who knows how long till i noticed! HA!

It was necessary to soak my feet in the ice cold water at Jenny Lake after the hike.
Perfection.

There was a moment when we were packing the bikes on the bike rack that we wondered if they were even worth taking...but they SO WERE!! Our campground was perfect for biking...so many mountain trails nearby and bowen was in heaven to jump on his bike every two minutes and "look for bears". He actually did find a momma bear and her two babies but luckily from a distance and we pulled him from that area pretty quick!

Bowen was awesome with the ax. He took on the responsibility for the fire wood, and though it made me a little nervous, it was nice to have him working happily!

{Colter Bay}

We took these little row boats out and around colter bay. it was fun for me and the boys, but a serious workout for james and Jason...

I spotted James contemplating the greater things of life...haha.

{the View from our campsite...breathtaking...all day, and all night!}

four kids in the bear cubby, how cute! you're suppose to put everything you dont want the bears to eat in here...these were our first choice!

The kids loved the tent cabin...it was pretty cool.

{Ouch!}

We had the best time and hope that it wont be the last one to Colter Bay!
